Task
In your journey to become an expert member of your tribe, you will complete two major activities. You must follow the directions very carefully, or you may get lost along the way. Your tribe needs you, so don’t get lost!
The first activity will teach you how to identify the plants of the forest using the system that today’s scientists use. You will use the system to identify trees. You will sharpen your skills in observing and describing plants, and this will help you when you teach new settlers.
You will work in a small group for your second project. Each of you will be responsible for describing a plant and producing a report about it. Part of your research will involve learning how your honorary tribe used the plant.
