*Conduct at least two interviews with staff at High Point School who lived through the important events of the Civil Rights Movement.

*Conduct at least one interview with an adult in the community who remembers the Civil Rights Movement - at least 45 years of age or older.

*Consult at least five web pages dealing with the Civil Rights Movement.

*Download a minimum of five graphics from the Internet that support your text; it is not enough to have just  good pictures.  The text and pictures MUST connect and support one another.

*Consult at least one encyclopedia article dealing with the Civil Rights Movement.

*Consult at least two different books containing information about the Civil Rights Movement.

*It is highly recommended that you spend time looking at Microsoft Encarta Africana - located in the lab with Mr. Shutoff or the Learning Resource Center.

HyperStudio

*The HyperStudio document must include the following:

1)  One card per topic.

2)  Each card must have text and an illustration (picture).

3)  Only a 14 or 16 point font may be used.

4)  The font must be standard with New York, Geneva, or Helvetica. Italics, BOLD type and underlining are not permitted.

5)  Cards must be in chronological order. This means: the order in which the events took place. Example: the Montgomery Bus Boycott happened in 1955 and African-American students integrated Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957. Which card comes first?

6)  A maximum of 10 cards - no more.

7)  A minimum of  7 cards - no less.
