Introduction to Web Page Publishing

Web pages are a great way to share information with parents, students, and the community. In this course, participants will create a simple web page designed to share information about a specific topic. Learn how to add text, graphics and links to a web page, create a web file structure and view your page on the Internet.

Outcomes:

· Identify the basic structure of a website (html pages, graphics)
· Define the terms jpeg and gif
· Create hyperlinks
· Format web pages (color, text, layout)
· Explain key copyright issues

Online brochure combining text, graphics and Internet links
Power Point slideshow utilizing digital images
Example of student photo journal created in Microsoft Word
