Center for Assistive Technology offers information of projects designed to help students and teachers in an educational setting.
Closing the Gap  This site has a searchable data base of information on technology resources for people with special needs.
Internet Resource for Special Educators Resource list for parents and educators on specific disabilities and special education topics.
Special Education This site answers frequently asked questions about special education services. It explains the contents of an IEP for parents and has much more information.
Council for Exceptional Children  The largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities and gifted children
LD Online: Learning Disabilities In-Depth There is a tremendous amount of information on this site. It covers many different kinds of Learning Disabilities and features information, articles teaching techniques, etc.
School Psychology Resources A one-step source of links to online resources related to all sorts of things that a school psychologist and educators deal with in children. The site is managed by Sandra Steingart, a school psychologist in Maryland.
The Braintainment Center This is a commercial site with a lot of information about brain research and an IQ test to take on line.
Make It Happen! A new approach to educating middle school students with learning disabilities.

Center for the Study of Autism A site which informs parents and professionals about this disease. Teaching tips are available as well as a sibling center.

Deaf:
Council on the Education of the Deaf This site is designed to serve as a primary Net location for information concerning the education of deaf and hard of hearing students.

Dyslexia:
Dyslexia: The Gift This site looks at the positive effects of ADD or Dyslexia. Most dyslexics share "the gift of mastery" and visual thinking. The site contains valuable data for parents and educators including where to find counselors and groups which provide quality treatment and advice. Hands on material can also be ordered here.

Gifted:
Gifted Resources Home Page This is a good online starting point for gifted students. It contains links to all online gifted pages and resources.
National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC)  An organizations for parents, educators and other professionals who are interested in promoting the needs of children and youth with unique gifts.
