There are general and specific sites here. Remember that children's literature is not just for elementary school. There are general sites, sites by author, fairy tales and myths and poetry.

Children's Literature Web Guide This is a rich web site. Categories include books for young adults, recommendations for reluctant readers and sure fire books for Junior high readers. Links to Caldecott winners and other award winning books. Links to author pages and to stories on the web. Gives a site for literature and reading conferences. Includes resources for teachers, parents, writers and storytellers. Great jumping off place!
